Wings End 6-game Skid, Host Coyotes on Halloween

Detroit Red Wings ended a 6-game losing streak in Sunrise, Florida versus the Panthers on Saturday night. Winning 3-2 in a shootout. Jimmy Howard stopped 44 shots and was perfect in the shootout.

Athanasiou scored his first goal of the season, in just his 2nd game in the first period to give the Wings the 1-0 lead. Jonathan Huberdeau and Evgenii Dadonov responded with a goal each for the Panthers.

Gustav Nyquist was the hero of the night, scoring the game-tying goal in the second period and the game-winner in the shootout.

Wings return home to host the last place, Arizona Coyotes, Tuesday night at Little Caesars Arena.
