Wings Road Woes Continue After Home Win

The Detroit Red Wings disposed of the last place, Arizona Coyotes in their one-game homestand on Halloween night only to drop their first game back on the road vs. Ottawa.

It seemed like things were finally starting to turn around for the young Wings, after masking a six-game losing streak with two wins over the Florida Panthers and Arizona Coyotes. Detroit’s young forwards, Dylan Larkin and Anthony Mantha scored a goal each, as did Glendening, Helm and Nyquist in the 5-3 win.

Thursday night in Ottawa was quite the opposite as Mark Stone, Alex Burrows and Nate Thompson led the way with a goal each in the 3-1 win for the Senators. Wings lone goal came from Anthony Mantha on the power play in the 3rd period.

The Wings might want to think about resting goal tender, Jimmy Howard, as he’s started in Detroit’s last six games. Detroit Red Wings continue their road trip in Edmonton on Sunday. The puck drops 4 PM ET.
