Mrazek Superb in Shutout Win vs. Oilers

After 16 days of rest, goaltender, Petr Mrazek showed no signs of rust in Edmonton versus the Oilers, making 36 saves. 11th shutout for his career.

Anthony Mantha and Martin Frk scored a goal and an assist each. Nielsen and Nyquist accounted for Detroit’s additional goals in the 4-0 win. Gustav Nyquist is day-to-day after exiting the game in the first period with a lower-body injury. Gus banged knees with Oilers, Eric Gryba.

It’s been a rough start to the Wings season. The schedule didn’t give them any breaks either, playing their first 12 out of 17 games on the road. After Monday night in Vancouver and Thursday night, capping their road trip in Calgary, Detroit will return home for the next 13 of 15 games will be played at Little Caesars Arena.

The puck drops at 10 PM ET @ Vancouver, Monday night.
