Wings Winning Ways Continue vs. Canucks, End Road Trip in Calgary

Knotted up at 2-2, Tomas Tatar scored the game-winning go ahead goal with 1:14 left in the third period. Tatar went scoreless in his previous seven games before giving the Wings the win and his 200th career point.

Martin Frk and Darren Helm accounted for Detroit’s first 2 goals, giving the Wings the 2-0 lead until the third period. Vancouver tied it up with 2 goals of their own from Daniel Sedin and Michael Del Zotto. Jimmy Howard started at goal versus the Canucks after Petr Mrazek held the Oilers scoreless on Sunday. Howard came away with 26 saves.

Detroit Red Wings (8-7-1) have won 4 out of their last 5 games after their 6-game losing streak. The Wings finish up on the road in Calgary, Thursday vs. Flames, 9 PM start time before coming back home on Saturday against Columbus.
