Lions Improve to 5-4 After Wins at Lambeau, Browns at Home

Even with Aaron Rodgers being out for the season with a broken collarbone, you couldn’t help but wonder about the Lions chances, heading into Lambeau for Monday Night Football. A place where they’ve won only once in 25 years. Detroit put the doubters to rest in a much-needed, 30-17 win over the Packers.

Matthew Stafford threw for 361 yards with 2 touchdowns, both to Marvin Jones Jr. The Lions defense helped out in a big way, holding Green Bay without a TD until the 4th quarter.

Lions took their huge win in the national spotlight back home to defeat the Cleveland Browns, 38-24. Don’t let the final score fool you, Detroit had to grind out this very back-and-forth game vs. Cleveland who are still searching for their first win of the season. The Browns countered the Lions every move, taking a tie game (24-24) into the 4th. It was all Detroit from there. The defense held the Browns scoreless, while compiling 2 touchdowns to Eric Ebron and Golden Tate to seal the game.

Matthew Stafford finished with 249 yards, 3 TD’s and 1 interception. Ameer Abdullah rushed for 52 yards and 1 touchdown.
