Lions Ride Win in Chicago into Thanksgiving Game, Division Up For Grabs

The Lions are a winning football team. While the wins may not be pretty, a win is a win none the less. If there’s one take away from the Lions successful season thus far, it’s that kicker, Matt Prater is CLUTCH.

Up 21-17 at halftime, the Lions and Bears did not score again until the 4th quarter, when Prater, again, kicked a 27-yard field goal to put Detroit up 24-17. Chicago responded with a 15-yard touchdown from Tarik Cohen. The extra point tied the game, 24-all.

Matthew Stafford continued to be the Lions driving force, throwing 2 touchdowns for 299 yards. With 1:35 left in the game, so the story goes, 52 yards, game, Matt Prater.

Ahead of division leader, rival, Minnesota Vikings (8-2) coming to town on Thanksgiving, Matt Prater joined Sam Martin and Lions teammates to help out families in need with a Thanksgiving dinner giveaway.
